Welcome to We Settled. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using We Settled, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Service Description
We Settled is a mobile application that enables users to:
- Track and split shared expenses within groups
- Calculate balances between group members
- Record settlements and payments
- Share expense information with group members
We Settled is an expense tracking tool. We do not process payments directly; actual money transfers must be conducted through external payment methods (UPI, bank transfer, cash, etc.).
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining your account security
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- You may only maintain one active account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Submit false or misleading expense information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt unauthorized access to the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Impersonate another person or entity
5. Intellectual Property
The We Settled app, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted data), is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service without written permission. You retain ownership of your expense data.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
While we strive for accuracy in calculations, you should verify important financial matters independently. We are not responsible for errors in expense tracking or balance calculations.
We do not process payments. Any disputes regarding actual money transfers should be resolved between the parties involved.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, profits, or other intangible losses.
8. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through the app settings
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms
- Upon termination, your access to the service ceases immediately
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
